The hotel had its ups and downs. While the food was quite good and the staff were friendly, my room left a lot to be desired. It was spacious but very outdated and not particularly clean. The location was decent, being close to other pubs and shops; however, some basic amenities like milk for coffee were lacking. Overall, it felt like it needed some attention to detail.

I had a fantastic time at Glen Park Hotel, really enjoying the cozy and casual vibe. The staff were attentive and friendly, making me feel right at home. The location was perfect for both the beach and local pubs, but I did find the room cleanliness could use some improvement. Overall, it was good value for money, especially with the onsite brewery offering delightful craft beers.

The Glen Park Hotel has a spacious room in a nice location, but unfortunately, it feels quite dated and could really use some TLC. The staff was friendly, but the overall cleanliness left much to be desired. The beer from Ayr Brewery was excellent, but the dining conditions were not acceptable during my stay, making the overall experience disappointing. While there are some redeeming qualities, I wouldn't recommend it without reservations.

I had a lovely stay overall. The hotel has its own brewery, which is a unique touch that I appreciated. The staff made me feel welcomed from the moment I arrived, and the food was definitely a highlight, especially the Sunday roast. However, I did encounter some issues with room conditions and an unfortunate billing mistake during dining, which did put a damper on things.

Rooms
7.0
The rooms were a bit tired-looking with some wallpaper issues and a musty smell in the first room I was in. However, they quickly moved me to another room that, while dated, was perfectly fine and comfortable.
Service

The service was outstanding. Ann, the owner, and the bar staff were incredibly hospitable and attentive. Marco, the chef, prepared some excellent dishes that were fresh and delicious.

Dining

Dining was a treat, with a fantastic lamb Sunday roast and fresh meals. Sadly, I was overcharged for my meal, which was disappointing because the manager was very apologetic about it.
Facilities
9.0
The hotel features a nice bar area where it feels more like a local pub than just a hotel bar, which I really enjoyed.

I had a mixed experience at this hotel. While the location was great and the dining presented some delicious options at a fair price, I faced issues with the room that could not be overlooked. The service was decent, but there were lapses that impacted my stay. It seems like some attention to detail and maintenance could elevate this experience significantly.

Rooms
5.0
The room I initially checked into had a strong smell of damp, and the radiator wasn't functioning well. However, after being moved to another room, it was much better, albeit a bit dated.
Service
